I recently checked out the XML-RPC module for WordPress, and here's what I found: it almost seems like a forgotten feature.

• Many of the document links are no longer working

• Common API libraries haven't been maintained for years

Apart from some pingback or remote publishing tools, who else is actually using XML-RPC and is there a recommended modern alternative?
