What are container styles?

Container styles are a way for you to select the selected containeropening (chess jargon)You can choose from three different style options: Default, Boxed and Unboxed. You can choose from three different styling options: Default, Boxed and Unboxed. The container style determines how the site content is presented within the container.

Boxed Style

When choosing the "boxed" style, the site's content is confined to a defined box, giving a clear, bounded structure.

Unboxed Style

When you select the "out-of-the-box" style, your content expands and fills all available space in the container, creating a more open and spacious layout.

Default Option

When the Container Style is set to Default, the setting is applied from the customizer's default settings. For example, if the Container Style Meta setting for a page is set to "Default", then the Page Container Style setting in the customizer is applied. If that setting is also "Default", it will eventually fall back to the global container style setting.

Combining Container Styles and Layouts

Note that the container style options are specialized for the Standard Layout (Normal Layout) respond in singing Narrow Layout (NL) Design. Currently, Fullwidth Layout does not support the Container Styles feature. If you use Fullwidth Layout, the container style options will not be customizable.

Accessing container style settings

Container styles can be customized in different settings throughout the site in the following path:

• Global container settings: Adjusts the container style globally. Path:Appearance > Customize > Global > Container

• Single Blog Settings: Customize the container style for a single post. Path:Appearance > Customize > Blog > Single Post

• Blog/Archive Page Setup: Set container styles for blog archive pages. Path:Appearance > Customize > Blog > Blog/Archive

• web pageset up: Customize container styles for individual pages of the site. Path:Appearance > Customize > Page

• Page/Post Meta Settings: Set container styles for specific pages or posts.

Combined Sidebar Styles and Container Styles

Astra allows you to combine container styles witha side-bar (in software)styles in conjunction with each other. For example, you can choose the "Standard" layout and set the "Container Style" to "Boxed" and the "Sidebar Style "and set the Sidebar Style to Unboxed. This combination provides the site with greater flexibility to customize the page structure as needed.

Compatibility with other plugins

The Container Styles feature is fully compatible with several popular plugins, including WooCommerce,LearnDash,LifterLMS respond in singing Easy Digital Downloads. This means you can seamlessly use container styles to enhance the look of your online store, course, or digital download page.
